PURPOSE
Purpose of the Cleanup Ops team is to clean the Lake and surrounding shore, to be good stewards, to be kind and considerate to all Lake participants. Our purpose is to work hand in hand with TWRA, TVA, local marinas, property owners, fishing teams, local counties and municipalities and other associations that have the same goals of providing a clean and healthy Lake. Cleanup Ops team members are our first line of contact with our public, so employees are expected to maintain control of their actions and represent our non-profit as the totally professional entity that we have been since 1983. They are expected to exercise control and refer any problematic issues to the Board of Directors for a resolution.
QUALIFICATIONS
Qualifications for employment as a Lake Ops clean-up team member are as follows: valid driver’s license, working cell phone, willingness to answer and communicate and ability to transmit photos at end of work day, Boater Safety Course if born after January 1, 1989, working knowledge of boats, weed eaters, chain saws, and assorted cleaning tools, willingness to wear “Boone Lake” logo shirts for public relations and public recognition, submission to drug testing, after an accident, if required by BOONE LAKE ASSOCIATION insurance carrier and safety boots (a metatarsal protecting boot) for winter cut and burn.
WORKING CONDITIONS
Employee position is clean-up for Boone Lake; therefore, work area will be on the water and shore area. Employee must be able to work in high summer temperatures and cold winter months among mud and trash. There are few restaurants and eating facilities; therefore, employee will be required to pack a lunch. Work schedule must be flexible because of weather and employee must have the ability to work some weekends if required.
COMMUNICATIONS
Each employee is required to have a working cell phone and to carry it with him on board the BOONE LAKE ASSOCIATION boats. It is to be used to check for updates on messages and to take photos daily that should be sent to the Chair, Lake Ops Committee. A stipend of $20 will be paid on the 1st pay period of each month to help offset the cost of the personal phone.
