BLA, in meeting with some funding shortfalls in the plight for a second skimmer, made some calculations as to what equipment would be the most useful for the type of work our crews are currently performing to keep Boone Lake clean, safe and beautiful. As a result we have contracted a work boat builder to create a barge type boat with a crane/grappling arm that should aid our crew in removing large and heavy objects and debris from the lake. This equipment is specifically a result of the major sponsors for the second skimmer boat but as we’ve determined this summer this work boat is going to be much more of a fit with our current needs. We are fortunate to have donors large and small to keep us working for the cause.
